DO YOU OFFER COMPLIMENTARY SITE SURVEYS?
We believe every great system starts with a conversation. Our initial site consultations are typically complimentary for all new projects whether its a home cinema or a lighting design just let us know and we’d be happy to discuss with you. Some projects that require extensive technical planning or site surveys, a professional fee may apply. We believe in total transparency and will always discuss this with you in advance—ensuring your journey with us is free of unwelcome surprises

DO I NEED TO BE IN THEN MIDDLE OF A RENOVATION TO START?
Not at all, though the earlier the better to get us involved with your project. We can design and install systems at any stage—whether your home is a “blank canvas” shell or a fully finished, historic property.
HOW CAN I INTEGRATE A HOME CINEMA WITHOUT RUINING MY INTERIOR DESIGN?
Many homeowners worry that a cinema means bulky black boxes and a spaghetti junction of cabling. At Akorn we specialise in “invisible technology”, using discreet in-ceiling speakers, motorised projector screens that retract into the ceiling void and bespoke cabinetry to hide equipment. we ensure your room remains a beautiful living space until the opening credits.

Invisible technology isn’t necessarily about being physically hidden; it’s about technology that feels simple, natural, and intuitive. Whether you want to make a statement with a pair of iconic, floor-standing speakers (that we still take huge enjoyment from supplying!), either working in unity or contrast with your decor, or prefer a completely minimalist look with high-fidelity audio being installed in walls, ceilings, or behind acoustic cladding, our goal is the same: technology that works beautifully without cluttering your lifestyle.
CAN YOU WORK ALONGSIDE MY EXISTING ARCHITECT OR INTERIOR DESIGNER?
We regularly collaborate with Architects and Interior Designers from the early stages of a project. This can help to ensure that our systems compliment your homes aesthetics, not compete with it. We can also source bespoke finishes to match your designer’s chosen colour palette.
DO YOU OFFER A MAINTENANCE PACKAGE?
Yes. We offer aftercare support to make sure your system is still performing to the level as the day it was installed. Recalibration of home cinemas is a crucial part of how the system performs that is often overlooked. We recommend a professional recalibration once a year, or whenever you make significant changes to the room (like adding a new rug or changing the seating).
CAN I SEE OR HEAR A SYSTEM BEFORE I BUY?
We maintain a strong partnership with some of the leading manufacturers and distributors in the UK. We can arrange to meet you for a demonstration at their base, and some smaller items can sometimes be brought out for yourself, your Architect or Interior Designer to see on-site

We provide a dedicated local service across Devon and Cornwall, specialising in coastal and rural estates, especially on Dartmoor. Some of the areas that we cover locally include Torquay, Totnes, Dartmouth, Salcombe, Thurlestone (and any part of the South Hams), Exeter, Topsham, Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Westhill, Plymouth, Padstow, Wadebridge, St Ives, Truro, and the North Cornish coast. Dorset is also an area we serve regularly.
THE COTSWOLDS
Serving the heart of the country in and around the beautiful Cotswolds including Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Stratford-upon-Avon, Banbury and all of Oxfordshire. Key regions include Cheltenham, Bath, Cirencester and down to Bristol.
LONDON & THE SOUTH EAST
We manage bespoke projects within Greater London as well as luxury residences in Surrey (including the Surrey Hills), Berkshire and the Home Counties. We also serve the M4, M5 & M3 corridors.
